Here's something that could never be stressed enough! No matter what kind of affair you plan, meeting with the DJ IN PERSON should be in your itinerary. You will have a better feel for the person behind the music and it will give you an easier choice as to who you believe will better relate to your guests. Larger DJ services have multiple operators working for them. Stress that you would like to meet with the actual DJ performing at your affair.

Some DJ's advertise and promote the huge size of their music libraries. This may sound great, but as is the case with most any service, quality rather than quantity should be considered. A knowledgeable and experienced DJ will "weed out" music that hasn't seen a turntable or CD player in years. He/she should have a relatively compact but well rounded library consisting of a variety of genres.
