THERE ARE SEVERAL CONSIDERATIONS WHEN SETTING UP THE ROOM OR HALL
WHERE YOUR AFFAIR WILL BE HELD.
1. When assigning tables for your guests, it is suggested that
older guests should be farthest away from the DJ's speakers but
still have easy access to the dance floor. The guests that you
feel will be the most active on the dance floor should be the
closest. Younger guests generally don't mind being close to
speakers.
2. If you are renting a dance floor, placement of it is important.
You don't want the dance floor on one end of the room and the DJ
on the other.
3. DJ's need a fair amount of space for their set-up. Determine
this during your interview. The size of the area will vary on how
much equipment the DJ has and also the placement of his/her
loudspeakers. Don't forget to place the DJ near electrical
outlets!
4. Most DJ's will accept requests at the affair. Placing him/her
in an accessible spot will allow him/her to better interact with
your guests.
